Top 10 Sad Songs to Cry To.

We all have those days where you lie in bed with your “sad songs” playlist on blast, so why not make sure you’re getting the most out of your crying sesh by adding a few of these classics to your list. The following are some of my favourites to blast on a gloomy night.

1) Almost is Never Enough by Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes

Such a sweet song sang by such a sweet voice. Not too extreme that you’ll contemplate getting a psychologist for your feelings but sad enough to get you feeling a little in the dumps – perfect! Haha.

2) Supermarket Flowers by Ed Sheeran
Disclaimer – before this, I had never cried to a song before. Trust Ed Sheeran to write a perfectly poetic sad song. Definitely get the tissues out.

3) Can I Be Him by James Arthur

James Arthur always has the most beautifully written songs, the more you listen to his lyrics the more it messes you up. Love this song.

4) Rise Up by Andra Day

A powerful voice with a powerful message. A good one to throw in the mix with the more depressing ones to make you feel a little more motivated and put together.

5) Waves by Dean Lewis

This has been on repeat for the past few weeks for me. Lyrics get me everytime.

6) Losin Control by Russ

A sweet love song with a sad story, definitely a good one.

7) Not Like The Movies by Katy Perry

Sometimes we forget that Katy Perry isn’t always a bubbly, happy popstar, this song shows her pain and heartbreak and it’s simply amazing.

8) Wings by Birdy

An oldy but a goody. Sweet lyrics and a strong message.

9) Skinny Love by Birdy

We can always trust Birdy to have delicate depressing songs to put us in that sad mood. This song is so gentle and pure and gets me everytime.

10) Million Years Ago by Adele

Adele’s lyrics are always so heartfelt but this song particularly stands out for me, you can really hear her pain through the music. I absolutely love this song.

What I’ve Been Up to – Birthday, Stress, Change and Learning German!

Hi everyone, sorry my posts have been a little sparadic recently, I can explain!

These last few weeks have not been the greatest, I was extremely stressed a few weeks ago resulting in me not eating, not sleeping and therefore doing worse in my assesments than I probably could’ve, causing even more stress. I’m on the path back to where I was but unexplained sadness still takes away from my mood (sad songs playlist on repeat, haha!)

My semester properly finished on Friday (although we still have one more week), this means I will have new teachers and classes for next semester. If you know me well, you’d know I hate change. I’d prefer to do the same classes with the same teachers and same people every day for the rest of my life then ever have to change.
I only want to post things I’m proud of, and I didn’t feel I was in the state to do that for the past few weeks.

“Good things are happening, even if they hurt.”

Anyway, on Tuesday, it was my birthday, didn’t do anything too special but had a good day, filled with chocolate, school and phone calls from family.
Now, it’s the weekend. Lately I’ve been so bored on the weekends, I have nothing to do, I occasionally go out with friends but more often then not, I’m at home. I have a three week school break starting next week, if I can barely survive 2 days how will I get through 3 weeks?

About 10 weeks ago I decided to pick up German on the app ‘DuoLingo’ (HIGHLY recommended!) I believe I’m currently 15% fluent, and it heals my boredom problem sometimes haha! It made me realise how much I love learning. I only really know basic sentences which will probably never come up in a conversation but we’re getting there! Haha. Ich bin eine frau und du bist ein mann, ich habe kein ahnung…!

Well that’s about it, I hope you guy’s enjoyed this chatty post and I’ll hopefully see all your beautiful faces next week!
Comment below what you’ve been up to! When’s your birthday? Do you know any other languages?
Thankyou so so much for reading! ♡

Stress and Perfectionist-ism.

Only one word, with many meanings, but often holding a lot of impact.

I’ve been stressed recently, I have a lot of tests and assignments within such a short period, and it’s making life quite difficult lately. My life definitely isn’t hard – not at all! I am thankful to be attending a great school, being taught by incredible teachers, surrounded by great people and amazing family, I live in a nice house with my family in a beautiful area, with so many priveleges that I’m forever grateful for. But sometimes – it all gets too much.

Something I struggle with a lot is my perfectionist-ism. I care so much that I no longer care at all. I want good grades but sometimes it’s easier to not try at all, instead of trying my hardest. So that’s exactly what I do, perform badly, making myself worried but I cover it with an “I don’t care” attitude.

I crave success, happiness, contentness and strong relationships with others. But putting in effort is hard for me. I’m not lazy, I’m just scared of failure. I’ve come to terms with it but I’m still on a very long road to improvement.

I don’t know why I’m posting this. I just need to talk about it. Maybe it will help some of you (??) But I’m sorry for rambling.

I know these blog posts aren’t everyones cup of tea. But I needed to let it out. If you are feeling like this or are being impacted by stress at all, let me know below and we can have a chat. I love talking with you all.

I would also like to acknowledge and pay my respects to Manchester. Such a horrible situation, I won’t go into detail but I’ve been thinking of the victims everyday, absolutely heartbreaking!

Thanks for reading!

Have you been through stressful times? How did you deal with it?

Adele Live 2017!

Hi everyone! This blog post was written a few months ago but I haven’t posted it yet, hope you enjoy reading about my Adele experience!

Something I’m extremely bad at is being spontaneous. When people try to make last-minute plans with me I will 95% of the time say no – but, I’m trying really hard to gradually get better at it!
Last Sunday, I noticed there was still tickets available for Adele’s concert that night, as she has added an extra show. I love Adele and all of her songs and have for as long as I can remember. Facing my fears of spontaneous-ism I asked my mum if we could go, she invited her good friend – and off we went.

Our seats, being so last minute, obviously weren’t front row, in fact, we were probably the furthest from the front row that we could be. We were on the first floor and at the very back. We awaited for the concert to start while chewing some yummy icecreams.

Adele arrived in a box, yes, a box. She opened her show with “Hello” from her album ’25’, and safe to say, she sung amazingly! I was so excited to see her in real life, it didn’t feel real at all!

She sounds exactly like the album! The songs were so beautifully paired with amazing videos and images on the large 360° screen around her, everything was perfectly done!

When she wasn’t singing, she was telling the funniest stories, cracking jokes, and she even invited someone up on stage who proposed to their now, fiancée! It was the cutest thing! (Tip: my future boyfriend – propose to me on stage at a concert and I’ll love you 100x more)

I’m so so thankful I made a last minute decision to go to this concert! One of my favourite memories this whole year so far. I encourage you all to step out of your own comfort zones, however big or small! And if you get a chance to see Adele Live, definitely do it! She’s hilarious and so entertaining, I wish it never ended.

Have you guys ever been to a concert? Which concerts do you want to go to in the future?
I went to Taylor Swift’s 2013 RED tour and of course Adele’s! I really want to go to an Ed Sheeran concert, and any of the One Direction boys concerts!

Thank you for reading, have an amazing day/night!

10 Youtubers that you MUST watch.

Hi guys! I’m really sorry I didn’t post last week – I don’t have an excuse, time just got wasted doing other things. However, I’m really enjoying writing this blog, and I can’t wait to hopefully improve and strengthen my blog further!!!

You may already know these youtubers, or you may’ve never heard of them before, either way, I really reccommend them! I’ve been a massive youtube fan for around 4-5 years so I’d love to tell you all some of my current favourites.

Anyway, on with the blog post.

1) Zoe Sugg (Zoella, MoreZoella)

Ah, where can I start? Zoe is my biggest inspiration for everything I do. She posts weekly on her channel Zoella, with the usual video being monthly favourites, shopping hauls or makeup looks. Her gorgeous personality, humour and friendliness makes her videos so attractive for me! She also posts occasionally on her second channel MoreZoella, this is my favourite channel of hers, where she posts vlogs from her busy life, with all her amazing friends, I sit through all her videos with a massive, goofy smile on my face. Highly recommend!

2) Alfie Deyes (PointlessBlogVlogs, PointlessBlog, PointlessBlogGames)

Alfie is a daily vlogger, he also has a main channel but he unfortunately doesn’t upload on there as much anymore. His gaming channel is mostly used to post his and his girlfriend, Zoe’s, sims 4 series, which I’ve been loving lately. His daily vlogs brighten my day and I love watching them every evening after a busy day!

3) Bratayley Family! (Bratayley)

Bratayley is a family daily vlog channel following the lives of homeschooled gymnast, Annie, her adorable and talanted little sister, Hayley, and their parents Billy and Katie. Unfortunately in 2015, their son Caleb passed away from an undetected heart problem. This family is the cutest and I love watching their lives as they grow up. (stalker much?)

4) Liza Koshy (Liza Koshy, Liza Koshy Too)

Liza is the most down to earth, funniest person ever. Her videos are always hilarious and I find myself going down a deep black hole of Liza Koshy videos at least once a week. I only found her about a month ago but I’m so glad I did because I love her content!

4) Clevver TV (ClevverTV)

Clevver TV is a channel which has many different segments throughout the week featuring different people. My favourite segments are Beauty Break, Beauty Trippin, Lunchy Break and Cheat Day.

My favourite people from this channel are Lily, Joslyn, Meghan and Ryland, they are all so funny and I would recommend this channel 100x!

5) David Dobrik (David Dobrik, David Dobrik Too)

David is probably the funniest daily vlogger on youtube. Every day he has new content which makes me laugh until I cry, I couldn’t recommend him enough!

6) SaconneJolys (SaconneJolys)

The SaconneJoly’s are a gorgeous daily vlogging family with three adorable children, Emilia, Eduardo and Alessia, with their parents Jonathon and Anna. They vlog their ups and downs throughout their lives and it’s so amazing to watch their chidlren grow up!

7) Jenna Mourey (Jenna Marbles)

Jenna Marbles is one of the funniest people on youtube. Her carefree attitude and humour is shown through all her videos and makes them so entertaining to watch. If you aren’t subcribed to her then you really need to be

8) Lisa Schwartz (LisBug)

Lisa is funny and so open with her videos, she always makes the greatest videos and I love watching her everyday. Her confent is creative and she’s so underratted.

9) Jessica Alice (xJBeautyx)

Jess has way less subscribers than she should, she’s so funny and makes amazing storytimes, as well as beauty videos and vlogs too. I highly recommend you give her channel a try!

10) Shane Dawson (Shane, ShaneDawsonTV)

Finally we have Shane Dawson, the queen of humour, conspiracy theories and hacks. Shane uploads every single day with a brand new hillarious or creepy video on his main channel. He is definitely in my top 5 favourite youtubers ever. I strongly advise you watch one of his videos because you will get hooked.

Well that’s some of the youtubers I recommend for you all, would you like a part 2 one day? Let me know!

Comment your favourite youtubers as I’d love to find some more videos to watch. Thankyou all so much for reading!

13 Reasons Why Review & Run down – Is it innapropriate?

Obvious spoiler alert!

(Will be discussing self harm, rape, suicide and mental illness, if you are sensitive about any of those topics then please simply click off!)

Hmm, my first dive into a blog post about something quite controversial – wish me luck!

On March 31st 2017, 13 Reasons Why, was available to stream on Netflix. Immediately causing the whole internet to erupt, in love and hate, some saying the series is glorifying suicide, others saying it’s exactly what the world needs to hear right now.

There are two episodes which show rape. No, they don’t just talk about rape, they literally show it happening. Once where Bryce had sex with an unconscious girl, Jessica, at a party, and another where Bryce raped Hannah in the spa at another party. Nothing about it is held back, you watch the scenes unfold and you watch everything go down. Definitely uncomfortable to watch but opened my eyes to the world around us and really brought the issue to a different level for me.

The last episode shows Hannah committing suicide. She begins cutting her arms in the bathtub, which is extremely graphic, you then watch her slowly drift into unconsciousness and she passes away, right in front of the camera. Her parents are then shown walking in and finding their deceased daughter in a pool of blood, screaming to call 911– Yeah, definitely one of the hardest scenes to watch.

One of the most challenging things for me was watching the characters deal with Hannah’s suicide. Quite often, a common thought for suicidal people is that nobody will miss them, or nobody will care when they’re gone. This series outlines the fact that suicide definitely had a more long lasting effect than that.

The series brings up a lot of issues facing teens nowadays, a lot of which are quite often never spoken about, rape, rumours, suicide, etc, but maybe it’s time that we start. Maybe we need to step up and speak about topics that are uncomfortable, and that are awkward, to make these issues less scary, less hidden, less ignored, which will make victims feel less isolated.

Maybe it’s hard to watch, uncomfortable, stressful, terrifying, and saddening, but maybe that’s exactly what we needed to see.

Let me know your thoughts, good or bad, on this show. I’d love to hear your opinions!

Is 13 Reasons Why appropriate? Our some scenes maybe too graphic? Comment below!

My first blog.

Ah, yes, another “teen blogger” with no particular writing talent, or really, with any talent in general, attempting to start a blog.

In some ways this title is actually quite misleading, this definitely isn’t my first blog, In fact I’ve tried to have a blog on and off for a few years now, but I never stick with it. It may be my lack of commitment issues, extreme levels of perfectionistism and stubbornness, my extremely uninteresting life or most likely, a mixture of all three. But, this time I’m going to try to keep it up.

I will focus on topics like fashion, beauty, tips, lifestyle, what I’ve been up to’s, and basically anything that crosses my mind that I want to talk to you guys about. Bare with me as I try to get the hang of this thing.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed this pretty boring blog post and hopefully come back for more and join me on my journey. A simple follow, like or comment would absolutely make my day, so be sure to click my follow button, like and write a comment below telling me a bit about you :)!
